  1. Multiple flash - Firing a flash unit several times during one exposure to increase the amount of light reaching the film. Two flashes give extra light equivalent to one ╞Æ stop, 4 flashes give 2 ╞Æ stops, 8 flashes 3 ╞Æ stops, and so on.
